Anna Speirs is a Perth-based painter specialising in still life and portraiture. Working primarily in oil, she explores light, texture, and colour to create paintings rich in atmosphere and quiet beauty.With a Fine Art diploma and years of experience, Anna combines classical techniques with a contemporary perspective. She is particularly drawn to the way light transforms everyday subjects—from delicate flowers and native botanicals to the transparency of glass and the quiet elegance of ordinary objects.
Anna is the winner of the 2025 City of Wanneroo Open Award and a finalist in major Australian art prizes, including the National Emerging Art Prize, Kennedy Art Prize, Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize, Bluethumb Art Prize, Rockingham Art Prize, Stirling Art Prize, and Claremont Art Awards.Her work has been exhibited across Australia and is held in private collections throughout Australia and internationally.
