Georgia Pricone

From her Melbourne studio, Georgia Pricone paints still lifes that attend to the fragile beauty of the everyday. A graduate of RMIT University, she continues to refine her practice, drawing on the overlooked details of her surroundings.

Flowers, often fading, are placed in glass or ceramic vessels and set against neutral grounds. Light and shadow give them presence and gravity, while the spareness of the setting creates room for slow contemplation.

“The serene beauty of still-life paintings, where flowers, plants, and other delicate subjects are depicted in their fullest glory and fragility, serves as a gentle reminder of the temporality of life. These works act as visual offerings, providing an emotional respite from the chaos and challenges of the everyday.”
